The mission of VOICE OF THE BITTERROOT (VOB) is to provide a forum for the dissemination of progressive news, views, analysis, opinion and comment on subjects of interest to the Montana’s Bitterroot Valley community. It is a site of the people, run by the people, and for the people. The political perspective of VOB is that of the progressive left, and it is a principal goal of VOB to provide an outlet for voices from this perspective that are routinely suppressed in conventional mainstream media. VOB invites and encourages comment from all, in the spirit of free speech, but reserves the right retained by all media to block users who comment with the obvious intent to counter VOB’s mission and goals.
